Stratford Leisure Centre to get solar panels costing £280,000

SOLAR panels are to be installed on the roof of Stratford Leisure Centre thanks to a government grant of £283,000.
Stratford District Council, which successfully applied for the money, said the panels will help to reduce the centre’s energy bills and save carbon emissions.
It is anticipated that the system of 405 panels will save 172,090kWh in electricity, and an estimated £51,627 a year.
