Stratford district crime round-up - vehicle crime and burglaries reported




POLICE said there were 21 reports of vehicle crime and seven burglaries – or attempted break-ins – in the last week.

Five vehicles were stolen: a VW Transporter from Willows Close, Alcester; a Ford Ranger from Hereford Road, Studley; a Toyota Hilux from Wootton Wawen; a Vauxhall Astra from Portia Road, Stratford, and a Toyota from Stratford Road, Shipston.

There were 13 thefts from motor vehicles. This included seven incidents of stolen number plates. Power tools and parcels were stolen in two incidents at the M40 services while tools and golf clubs were stolen in Hampton Lucy and food stolen in Whichford.

Burglaries that occurred included the theft of an Audi SQ5 from Albury Road in Studley, and a further house burglary in Studley which saw property stolen.

A BMW was taken following a burglary in Hammerton Way, Wellesbourne.
