Star guest at fashion show

HIGH fashion hit Henley as The Oesophageal Patients Association hosted its first Dressed to Kill Cancer fashion show as a fundraising event.

The event, held at the Guild Hall on Saturday, 30th June, raised over £4,000 for the association.

It included a special guest appearance by Fiona Wade, from ITV’s Emmerdale, who is also the charity’s patron.

The actress, who modelled for Studio 34 Boutique, a Henley business, has also designed a wristband to help OPA raise money.

Fiona said: “As patron of OPA and in memory of my dad I have designed these wrist bands to help the families, carers and those diagnosed with oesophageal cancer.”

The event was sponsored by local businesses including, Henley House, Studio 34, Expressive Design, Furniture Maxi, The White Swan, Cheals restaurant, Taylor Herrick, Air Aesthetics, Invictus at Home and PPE trade.

A spokesperson for the charity said: “Thank you to all who made the event such a huge success and look forward to hosting the next show in a years’ time.”
