A RECORD number of 1,100 runners entered the eighth annual Stratford Big 10k last Sunday, 11th September.

The race was won by Richard Simkiss, who led from the front and finished in a time of 33 minutes and three seconds, despite being tired from his training for the Berlin Marathon.

Lodders Solicitors sponsored the race for an eighth year in a row and won the Corporate Team Shield, with many runners donating or raising money for the event’s chosen charity Shipston Home Nursing.
