Around £13,000 of specialist archaeological equipment was stolen by criminals in Warwick last week.

The equipment was taken from a white Toyota Hilux in the car park of Warwick Hospital last Friday 5 January, where a member of the archaeological team was receiving treatment.

The Worcestershire Archive and Archaeology Service had been surveying a site in Barford when a member injured her ankle and needed to be taken to hospital.

Items stolen from the vehicle included a Leica GS08 Smart Antenna, a Leica Field Controller, a carbon fibre GPS system and a Nikon D50 camera.

If you have any information regarding the incident call Warwickshire Police on 101.
