Henley businessman John Johnson gets special industry award




JOHN Johnson’s contribution to the coach and tourism industry was recognised with a special award as Johnsons Coaches also achieved two highly commended finishes.

The commercial director of the Henley-based family business was given the accolade at the Route One 2023 Coach and Bus Awards for his dedication, vision and impact on the growth and development of the firm, as well as championing change for the industry over his 44-year career.

Mr Johnson said: ”The coach industry is all about people and I’m so proud of all of our staff here at Johnsons, and what we have achieved together over the years.”

Johnsons Coaches was also highly commended in two categories at the awards, which were held on 8th November in Birmingham – Large Coach Operator of the Year and Coach Tourism Programme of the Year.

Kyran Flynn, general manager for Johnsons Coaches, said: “Being awarded High Commended for Large Coach Operator of the Year and Coach Tourism Programme of the Year is a tremendous honour for Johnsons.
