Shipston pub to reopen next month as Scoff Kitchen owner takes over
THE HORSESHOE pub in Shipston will reopen at the start of October under new management.
New owner Dave Lewis runs Scoff Kitchen which is mainly based out of The Kings Arms Smoke House in Cleeve Prior.
His mobile street food enterprise Scoff Trailers operates from a distinctive silver Airstream trailer and caters for events, parties, weddings and film crews.
Mr Lewis ran Scoff Kitchen from The Red Lion Tavern in Chipping Campden until February, when he moved to the Kings Arms.
He bought the freehold of the 17th-century Horseshoe in Shipston’s Church Street from the Stonegate pub group, which owns almost 5,000 pubs in the UK plus high street chains such as the Slug & Lettuce, Be at One and Walkabout.
The Grade II-listed Horseshoe pub, which is still being refurbished, has open fireplaces, a beer garden and a car park. It closed in 2022.
