Shell garage redevelopment plans submitted

An application to redevelop the Bridgetown Shell petrol station on Banbury/Shipston Road has been submitted to Stratford District Council.

The applicant is seeking to demolish the existing shop and build an enlarged sales building at the site, a move which will require the station’s automatic car wash to be removed.

The bigger sales building will include customer toilets and a storage area.

The petrol pump layout will remain unaltered and the jet wash will be retained while the parking area will be improved.

So far there have been on objections raised by members of the public, Warwickshire County Council Highways Department or Stratford Town Council.

A decision is expected to be made sometime in February.
