Shakespeare statue unveiled today, Tuesday

The sculpture depicts the Bard in his prime with one foot on a bench and his arm outstretched in a gesture of welcome – an invitation to take a seat or pose for a picture with Stratford’s most famous son.

There is also another Shakespeare statue planned for the town which will be unveiled in time for the Bard's birthday and anniversary of his death on Saturday 23rd April. The location for this statue has yet to be decided.
