Scouts to deliver first class service

THE 1st Shottery Scout Group has launched its popular Christmas card post service again this year.

Post boxes can be found at Tesco, Morrisons, Waitrose, the library, the Stratford District Council offices, the Shakespeare Hospice and Hospice book shop, Clopton Road Stores, Evesham Place Stores, Hathaway Green Lane stores and Saint Andrew’s Shottery Church.

The delivery area is for Stratford Town and Tiddington, and can only be posted up until Friday, 15th December.

The post will be sorted the following day an delivered on Christmas Eve. The cost is £1 for three cards or 40p each.

Last year they delivered around 2,500 cards.

Stephen Rawlins, with the 1st Shottery Scout group, said: “We have been offering this service for in excess of 30 years and it is our main fundraising event.”
