Runners are ready for Shakespeare Marathon

THE Shakespeare Marathon is in town this weekend and hundreds of runners have used this week to fine tune their training in time for the big race on Sunday.

This hugely popular marathon winds its way through some of Stratford’s most historic streets and countryside and takes place the day after the Shakespeare birthday celebrations making it one of the busiest weekends of the town’s social calendar.

Stratford’s Tom Church and his running partner Chris Coulson are running dressed as a pantomime horse to raise money for charity. They’re taking part in the London Marathon which is also on Sunday.
