Rock star Prince once rented manor house near Stratford
PRINCE rented a manor house two miles from Stratford-upon-Avon which he used as his base while performing at the National Exhibition Centre in the mid-nineties.
Clifford Manor in Clifford Chambers was rented by the iconic pop star during his stay in this country; its location offered easy access to the major performing venues in Birmingham.
Prince last performed in Birmingham at the LG Arena in 2014 as part of his first UK tour in nearly 20 years.
Prior to that he played the NEC in June 1990 as part of The Nude Tour and the National Indoor Arena in July 1993 for his Act II Tour.
He was also in Birmingham for his Ultimate Live Experience Tour at the NEC in March 1995.
Prince died at the age of 57 after police were called to a medical emergency at the star’s home in Minnesota on Thursday.
