TOWN centre roads will be closed again today and tomorrow, Thursday and Friday, for the Runaway Mop.

Greenhill Street, Wood Street, Meer Street, Rother Street (from Ely Street), and Windsor Street (from Mansell Street) closed at 5am today and will remain so until 6am on Saturday.

Police have confirmed that last week’s main Stratford Mop passed without incident with no arrests made over the course of the two days.

A spokesperson for Stratford Safer Neighbourhood Team said: “This year’s Stratford Mop Fair past peacefully, and we maintained a light policing presence with the support of our special constables to reassure the residents and visitors attending the event.”

The Warwick Runaway Mop follows Stratford’s and takes place tomorrow, Friday, and Saturday, 21st and 22nd October.
