STAGE three of the OVO Energy Women's Cycling Tour will pass through Warwickshire tomorrow, Friday.

There will be a number of rolling road closures along the route throughout the day.

Warwickshire will host the third stage of the event on Friday, 15th June.

It will start at 10am in Market Square, Atherstone, in the north of the county, and will weave its way through Warwickshire in a 151km route, ending in Royal Leamington Spa at 2pm – making the Warwickshire stage the longest of the 2018 event.

Riders will arrive in Stratford district at around 11.40am on the Fosse Way and into Moreton Morrell.

Chief Inspector Jim Baker, of Warwickshire Police, said: "We're delighted to be supporting the women's tour in Warwickshire; it's a great event for the county and we hope as many people as possible will come out to support the riders.

"There will be road closures in place throughout the day to allow the race to pass through and we'd urge people to plan their journeys accordingly."
