STRATFORD'S Shakespeare Hospice has received high praise from the Care Quality Commission following a report into its service.

The hospice was rated good in all areas in a report published this month with inspectors also finding that it is outstandingly well led.

The report found staff were enthusiastic and motivated to provide high quality care in a compassionate way, with patients and their families speaking highly about the support they were offered.

It also shined a light on the Hospice's 'holistic approach to providing care and support' with its physiotherapy, complementary and occupational therapy.

The Hospice's 'Young People's Hub', which supports young people with life limiting conditions during the transitional period between children's and adult's hospices was also praised.

The Shakespeare Hospice is the only adult hospice in the UK to have developed this service winning the GSK IMPACE Award earlier this year.
