Last year (1st April 2014 to 31st March 2015) 215 new affordable homes were built – a record annual figure.
Highlights from last year’s programme included:
Two specialised housing schemes for adults with learning and/or physical disabilities at Bidford and Shipston. The Bidford scheme was supported by the Government’s Care and Support Specialised Housing Fund and was the only such scheme to be funded in this way in Warwickshire. There were two further rural housing schemes at Ilmington and Harbury, plus an Extra Housing Scheme in Southam which opened this month.
In Stratford, an urban regeneration scheme at Woodlands Road saw 15 bungalows and houses replace 12 defective properties.
