Almost £30,000 is to be spent resurfacing the play area at Stratford Recreation Ground.

The money, which will come from developer section 106 contributions, was approved by the leader of Stratford District Council Cllr Chris Saint last week.

Cllr Chris Saint said: “We’re always please to secure developer contributions for local infrastructure and children’s play areas are vitally important to us. We will end up with a tip top surface and although I am not involved in the scheduling of the work, I would hope that it can be done in time for when the play season really gets into full swing.”
