Pride group plans equality rally

WARWICKSHIRE Pride is inviting supporters to join their ranks for a Stratford Equality Rally later this month.

Volunteers with the charity group, which represents the LGBT+ community, are organising the peaceful protest and march following a recent incident in Stratford where their stall was the target of homophobic abuse.

The rally has been split into two parts, which includes playing a role in the literary pageant and parade through the town for Shakespeare’s Birthday Celebrations from 11am Saturday, 21st April.

Those joining in the parade are expected to wear something that represents rainbows or unicorns to represent a book called Rainbow’s End: The Unicorn Adventures.

Anyone interested in taking part can apply with the group via e-mail at: info@warwickshirepride.co.uk but there are only 50 places.

The second part of the rally will take place on the Recreation Ground at 1pm where the group will gather with placards for a peaceful protest.
