Police warning over suspicious chalk markings in Shipston area

The significance of the chalk symbols is that they may indicate to a burglar that a certain type of property is more suitable to break-in to than another in the same area.
Police believe that various symbols are used to indicate whether the property belongs to a vulnerable person, a wealthy person, or a nervous person, or if the property is alarmed or been burgled previously.
