Police warning over door-to-door visits

A MAN who claimed to be deaf made visits to residential properties in Alcester last weekend prompting calls to the police.

At Ten Acres, Alcester a man was reported going door to door selling drawings from a folder. He showed a card to say that he was deaf and was raising money to go to college. No formal ID or Pedlars Certificate was shown. He is described as a white male in his 20s, with short mousey coloured hair, wearing a black puffa jacket, jeans and a red back pack.The incident was timed at 6.40pm on Saturday 9th February. On the same day at Blackthorn Way, Alcester. A man was also reported doing door to door visits showing a card to say that he was deaf and was looking for money. He is described as a white male, 5' 7", early 20s, wearing a fluorescent waistcoat and a back pack. The incident was timed at 5pm. (0266 09/02/2019)
