Police warning on prescription drug




WARWICKSHIRE Police would like to issue a warning about a drug being offered by people claiming to be carers or medical personnel.

Warwickshire Police would like to issue a warning about a drug being offered by people claiming to be carers or medical personnel.

The individuals are believed to be targeting, in particular, those who are vulnerable or elderly.

They are offering a prescription drug 'Naproxen' which, if mis-prescribed, can cause stomach and/or intestinal bleeding which can be fatal.

Warwickshire Police has arrested on 55-year-old woman form Coventry in connection with this incident. She has been released on police bail until 21 December.

Warwickshire Police would advise the public to remain aware and vigilant. We would like to remind the public that they should only obtain medicinal drugs from approved and trusted sources.
