Police search for driver after cyclist injured in collision near Moreton-in-Marsh





A DRIVER failed to stop after a collision left a cyclist needing hospital treatment for head and shoulder injuries.

The incident happened on the A429 near to the Donnington crossroads at about 1.30pm on Friday (17th November).

Gloucestershire Police, who are appealing for witnesses, said the driver of a dark coloured car, possibly a Ford, was travelling from Moreton-in-Marsh towards Stow-on-the-Wold.

The cyclist, a man in his 60s, was taken to Warwick Hospital for treatment.

The driver of the car failed to stop to check on the welfare of the cyclist or to provide details and continued towards Stow-on-the-Wold.

Officers have also asked for anyone with dashcam footage of the collision or any footage they feel may be relevant to come forward.
