Police have confirmed that last week’s Stratford Mop passed without incident with no arrests made in connection with the event.

Officers will no doubt be hoping for a similarly successful fair next week when the Runaway Mop returns to Stratford.

A spokesperson for Stratford Safer Neighbourhood Team said: "This year’s Stratford Mop Fair past peacefully, and we maintained a light policing presence with the support of our special constables to reassure the residents and visitors attending the event.”

The Runaway Mop will take place on Thursday and Friday next week and a number of roads will be closed for the event.

Greenhill Street, Wood Street, Meer Street, Rother Street (from Ely Street) and Windsor Street (from Mansell Street) will be closed from 5am on Thursday until 6am on Saturday.
