Police investigate assault with a bladed weapon in Stratford

Police are investigating a report of an assault in Stratford on Friday night in which a man was allegedly injured by a bladed weapon.

The incident took place at around 8.45pm on Brookside Road.

An altercation is believed to have taken place within a property on the street and the injured man was taken to hospital.

His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Police are working to identify one individual who has been described as between 5ft 2 and 5ft 4 ins tall, black and from the Birmingham area.

A 33-year-old man was arrested following the incident on an unrelated court warrant
