Police hunt car vandals in Stratford
Vandals targeting cars on Elm Road are being hunted by the police.
In the early hours of Sunday 30 April the back windscreen of a car was smashed by a criminals wielding a house for sale sign.
It is believed that other cars on the street have also suffered damage in recent weeks.
Kimberley Saunders, whose boyfriend’s Vauxhall Insignia was damaged this week, said: “We were woken up by a neighbour at 8am and told what had happened. It looks like they pulled a for sale sign up from a garden down the road, smashed the car and left it sticking out of the back. I think there have been three cars damaged on Elm Road over the last month so it is very worrying.
“We get on well with everyone on Elm Road and we just want to urge people to be vigilant and to keep a look out because we were not expecting anything like this to happen. It does make you worry, will my car be next, it’s quite scary.
“Police have told us that they are conducting house to house enquiries.”
