Police appeal to trace caller

Police are looking to trace a woman who called the service to report her four-year-old son missing in Stratford yesterday.

The call was received at around 2pm with the woman reporting that her son had gone missing close to a playground in the town.

However before details of the caller could be taken the call cut out and police have received no further call regarding the incident.

Local officers have conducted searches and spoken to people in the local area but have not, thus far, been able to locate either the caller or the child.

Other enquiries are also being pursued to locate the caller and CCTV in the area is also being reviewed.
