Police appeal for witnesses following attempted burglary at bank




POLICE are appealing for witnesses and information following an attempted burglary at Llloyds Bank, Stratford Road, Alcester, on Wednesday 30th November.

Police say offenders have driven an unknown car into the rear car park of the bank using the access from Bleachfield Street.

They have then attempted to gain access to the bank by smashing a rear window and then also trying to remove the security bars. The attempt was unsuccessful.

The offenders have then driven off in an unknown direction. The bank was open at the time and members of staff and the public were inside.

"We are looking for witnesses who may have seen this car and its occupants arrive or leave the scene. The offenders are described as two males wearing black balaclavas the incident happened at 12.45pm," a force spokesperson said.

Investigations are ongoing however, and anyone with information is asked to call Warwickshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 quoting incident 175 of November 30th.
