FIREWORKS lit up the night sky over Stratford Rugby Club on Sunday (6th November) as a large crowd gathered at Pearcecroft for the annual Bonfire Night celebrations.

Thankfully, the rain showers earlier in the day passed over leaving a calm night with a full moon and a perfect backdrop for families to watch and enjoy a stunning display.

With the bonfire lit after the gates had opened, there were plenty of fairground-style amusements and rides for children to enjoy before the main display began shortly after 7pm.

While Christmas is still some weeks away, there was a festive feel about this year’s show with red and gold the dominant colours as rockets illuminated the sky above.

Proceedings started with a string of green and gold fireworks which were followed by a continual canopy of colour.

And the big finale didn’t disappoint. The display concluded with several large bursts of red and gold from rockets which expanded across the sky with a loud bang which drew cheering from the crowd.
