PICTURES Car slams into scaffolding in High Street




A CAR crashed into the scaffolding around Henley Ice Cream's shop on High Street in Henley-in-Arden yesterday, Saturday.

Police reported only minor injuries in the incident which happened at around 6.10pm.

It is not clear exactly what caused the car to crash, but witnesses have reported seeing the car brake suddenly and then veering onto the other side of the road onto the pavement and into the scaffolding.

There were said to be have been no staff or customers outside at the time.

The road was closed for sometime while the car was recovered and the scaffolding removed.

Posting on the Herald's Facebook post just after 10pm last night, Emily Adams, a director of Henley Ice Cream, said: "We have cleaned up and gone home. All is OK at Henley Ice Cream."
