Historic Stratford pub will reopen in the summer

A STRATFORD pub has been closed while it undergoes a refurbishment.

The Pen and Parchment, on Bridge Foot, dates back to the 17th century and is said to include a wooden pillar taken from a ship captained by Admiral Nelson.

Its owners, Greene King, said the pub would reopen in the summer.
