New top civil servant is appointed

STRATFORD-ON-AVON District Council has named its new executive director.

Isabel Edgar Briançon will take over as head of the council's paid service in November.

She is currently assistant director at Aylesbury Vale District Council, where she has worked for ten years, and will replace long-serving Dave Webb when he retires.

The appointment was confirmed at a meeting of the council on Monday.

“I am really looking forward to my new role at Stratford-on-Avon District Council and joining the council at this pivotal time in its transformation programme," Mrs Edgar Briançon said.

Council leader, Cllr Tony Jefferson, , added: “I am delighted that Isabel is joining the district council.

"Isabel brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record in transformation and will be a welcome addition to the leadership team."
