New shop and new leader at Myton Hospice
Gary Bradbury, retail manager, said: “Everyone involved in setting up the new shop, from the builders to our retail staff and volunteers, has worked very hard to make sure everything is to the same high standard as all the other Myron shops ready for the opening.
“We are lucky enough to receive a fantastic amount of donations to sell in our shops, which we wouldn’t be able to run without help and support from our volunteers.”
The Myton Hospice also has a new chief executive.
Ruth Freeman, 56, has worked for the hospice since 2006 as director of fundraising and replaces Kate Lee, who is now chief executive of national children and young people’s cancer charity, CLIC Sargent.
She said: “I have a very clear vision for Myton’s future and to achieve all of this will require securing more support from the public and ensuring that all of our services are cost-effective and provide excellent value for money.”
