New bars granted licences in Stratford and Shipston

Drinkers in Shipston and Stratford will have even more choice after the district council approved licences for a new bar and micro pub.

Earlier this month the licencing panel granted a premises licence for a gin and prosecco bar within Shrieves Walk in Stratford and a micro-pub called The Thirst Edition on Church Street in Shipston.

The Gin and Prosecco bar was granted a licence to operate from 12noon to midnight every day, except on Saturday night when it will be allowed to stay open until 1am on Sunday morning.

The licence was granted prior to the licencing panel hearing after the applicant agreed to a number of conditions surrounding the licence.

The Thirst Edition micro-pub was also granted a licence to operate within a former retail unit in Shipston last week.

The applicant, David Allsopp, successfully requested operating hours of 12noon-9.30pm Tuesday to Saturday and 2pm-7.30pm on Sunday.
