ORGANISERS of the Nativity Festival held this past week at the Wellsbourne Methodist Church have called the event a success.

The festival included over 100 nativity sets on display at the church over a three-day period from the weekend and Tuesday evening.

Roger Wright, with the church, said: “It’s been an extreme huge success. People have been overwhelmed by all the diversity of the nativity sets from all around the world. We were very pleased with it, and it gives us some enthusiasm to do something similar next year. The community spirit which has come back from it was absolutely overwhelming. This was really the start for Christmas for Wellsbourne.”
