Man threatened people with an axe - police




A MAN has been arrested in connection with an incident in which an axe was reportedly wielded in Chipping Campden.

It happened on the High Street in the town between 12.05am and 12.30am on Sunday, 13th March, police said today, Tuesday.

An altercation happened between a man and a group of males before the man allegedly threatened members of the public while brandishing an axe.

Police are interested in hearing from people who witnessed the incident but haven't yet come forward.

A 31-year-old man from Broadway in Worcestershire has been arrested on suspicion of affray in connection with the incident and has been bailed to return to police on 16th April, pending further inquiries.
