Man seriously injured in head-on collision near Kineton
A head on collision near Kineton has left a man in his 30’s seriously injured.
According to a Warwickshire Police spokesperson, police, fire and ambulance services were called to reports of a two vehicle head-on collision just after 5pm on Friday 9 February on the B4086. The collision occurred approximately 1-2 miles south of Kineton, near the junction of Langdon Lane.
The incident occurred when a Ford Fiesta was involved in a head-on collision with a Mitsubishi Outlander.
A man in his 30s, who had been driving the Fiesta, was taken to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire with suspected broken arms, legs and a fractured pelvis. His condition has been described as potentially life changing at this time.
The driver of the Outlander, also a man in his 30s, is not reported to have suffered any serious injuries.
Road closures were put in place until around 9.50pm, while emergency services worked at the scene and the vehicles were recovered.
Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Services responded, which included two appliances one from Gaydon and another from Wellesbourne.
Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to call police on 101, quoting incident number 293 of 9 February.
