Man arrested for making threats with a firearm in Stratford

Armed police have arrested a man in Stratford this morning on suspicion of making threats to kill.

At 7.39am police received reports of a man threatening someone with a handgun at property on Hertford Road.

Firearms officers were deployed to the scene and a 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill and possession of a firearm.

Police believe the parties involved in the incident were known to each other.
