Leisure centres win top industry award
THE company that runs the leisure centres in Stratford, Studley, Shipston and Southam has won a prestigious industry award for a fourth time.
Everyone Active was named Operator of the Year at the ukactive and Matrix Flame Awards — an award it also won in 2010, 2011 and 2012.
The awards are the health and fitness sector’s largest celebration of innovation and excellence.
Managing Director of Sports and Leisure Management at Everyone Active, David Bibby, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have achieved the status of Operator of the Year for the fourth time.
“All of our staff from across the company strive to give customers the best service and experience possible, and I'm very proud that their hard work and dedication has been recognised by others in the sector.
“Everyone Active has expanded rapidly in recent years, and now manages more than 140 leisure facilities and cultural services across the country. As we grow, we are determined to bring first-class facilities to more communities across the country and ensure we help as many people as possible to get active."
Everyone Active has run the district’s main leisure centre in Stratford since 1991. In January it was named Facility Operator of the Year at the annual Amateur Swimming Association (ASA) Swimtastic Awards.
Cllr Mike Brain, community and technical services portfolio holder for the district council, said: “What a fantastic achievement by our contractors Everyone Active in such a highly competitive market.
"This award recognises outstanding operating standards and commitment to delivering an unmatched customer experience for each and every user, and it's good to know our Leisure Centres across Stratford District are part of this.
“It is also recognition for the staff who work hard all year round to bring the best services to the people across the district getting our communities more active and healthy."
