Leamington shooting – 19-year-old Essex man charged with murder

A YOUNG man has been charged with murder following the shooting of Ben Daly in Leamington.

Warwickshire Police said Liviu Sandor, 19, of Romford in Essex, was arrested by Essex officers and brought to Warwickshire.

In the early hours of this morning (2nd October) he was charged with murder.

Sandor was due to appear before Coventry Magistrates’ Court this morning.

Ben, 30, from Leamington, died in hospital after being found with a gunshot wound in Clemens Street in the early hours of 10th August.

In a tribute, his family said in a statement: “Ben was a much-loved father, son, grandson, brother, uncle, and friend.

“He was our one and only. You brought so much love and laughter to us all.

“Your pranks kept so many people on their toes.

“We love you so very much and we’ll hold you in our hearts forever.”
