Land Rover Show helps injured veterans

Stratford Armouries’ first Land Rover Show took place earlier this month in collaboration with the charity Convoy for Heroes.

Around 60 Land Rovers rolled in, with Convoy for Heroes supporters converging from far and wide for the fundraising event.

James Wigington, who owns Stratford Armouries, said: “I and my son have always had a keen interest in Land Rovers and we bumped into one of the organisers of Convoy for Heroes and suggested they might want to hold their annual event here.

“Lots of people turned up at the weekend and Convoy for Heroes are going to return next Easter for another convoy and fundraising event. We’re planning to host two regular Land Rover events each year, one at Easter and one in August.”

Convoy for Heroes raises money for the charity Help for Heroes, which supports injured servicemen and their families.
