A FORMER pupil of Stratford Girls’ Grammar School was recently awarded the Best Female Presenter at the Student Radio Association Awards.

Faye Lawrence, aged 21, received the award on 9th November at the O2 Arena in London.

She said: “It was a huge surprise, but once that wore off I was really proud of myself. The quality of some of the entries that I was up against was so high and it feels really great to be recognised by the industry-level judges.”

She received the award for her work with student radio while attending Leeds University. She graduated in July 2017 with a degree in English Literature and Theatre Studies. Last year she also won the Kevin Greening Award for Creativity. She currently works at the Royal Shakespeare Company.
