Kineton Primary pupils enjoy new adventure playground
PUPILS from Kineton Primary School can now enjoy challenging themselves with two new large playgrounds recently installed at the school.
The play areas, which cost a combined £25,000, were funded through the Friends of Kineton Primary School and school funds, along with a £1,000 grant from Tesco.
One playground is a play trail with a log climber at the centre, the second includes a climbing frame.
Head teacher, Margaret Pollard, said: “It provides children with a variety of physical challenges to develop balance, upper and lower body strength and hand strength. It encourages co-operation, competition, and imaginative play, developing communication skills and confidence through teamwork and fun.
“We are also keen to provide opportunities for children to increase their physical activity levels in fun, challenging ways.
“Increasing children’s use and enjoyment of our fantastic school grounds is a key driver in our five-year strategic plan.”
