Hundreds help raise cash for Zoe’s Place
A cake sale, tombola, raffle, beat the goalie stand and a guess the name of the bear competition all proved popular.
There was also a bouncy castle and an auction with prizes such as a weekend away, a signed West Bromwich Albion football, tickets to see Coventry City and Stratford Town Football Club and passes to Stratford Races.
One Stop manager, Wendy Hobbis, said: “I’m just so pleased, I would like to thank everybody who donated prizes, we wouldn’t have been able to raise the money we did without people’s kindness, and all the staff and volunteers were fantastic.
“Last year we raised around £1,400 for a little girl who had issues with her spine and we’ve done even better this year raising £1,659. It’s a good sum and I’m really happy with that.”
Wendy says the shop will most likely run the event again next year and staff would be organising events in support of MacMillan Cancer Support and Children in Need later in the year.
