Hospital staff shortlisted for health journal awards
STAFF at South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust (SWFT) have been shortlisted for three prestigious Health Service Journal (HSJ) Awards.
The trust has nomination in the Staff Engagement category for its online benefits scheme, Provider Trust of the Year, and Primary Care Innovation category for a project to reduce hospital admissions of frail, elderly people related to medicines and to reduce medicines waste.
In all there are 23 categories with the winners will be announced at the 02 in London on Wednesday, 23rd November.
Chief executive Glen Burley said: “I was extremely pleased to learn that the trust had been shortlisted for two HSJ awards and our subsidiary company another.
"It’s been a great year for us and this is a nice reminder of all of the progress we have made in so many areas which have positioned the Trust as one of the best in the NHS.”
“Of course, we’re hoping to win but even to be shortlisted for such coveted awards is a real achievement and recognition of our staff who work tirelessly to improve the care we provide our patients.”
The trust runs hospitals in Warwick, Leamington, Stratford and Shipston.
