A MOONLIGHT walk is expected to raise around £55,000 for The Myton Hospices.

The new Glow in the Moonlight walk takes place after dark on Saturday, 10th September, when hundreds of people are expected to run, jog, walk or even dance a 5km route around Warwick, starting at Warwick Castle.

And there will be a real party atmosphere, with food and live music, and a warm-up from popular local Zumba instructor Matt Print.

Along the route, there will be bright glow zones featuring colourful lanterns, dazzling lights and stimulating dance music.

Participants can also expect to be splattered with fluorescent bubbles whilst making their way through optional UV bubble zones.

A team of Myton nurses are among those who have already signed up to take part in Glow in the Moonlight.

Sara Houghton, who is one of the nurses taking part in this year’s event, said: “I have had family and close friends at Myton myself and I want to be able to help fund the services we provide in the local community, especially the Myton at Home service we are trying to set up in the Warwick area because this is something we really need for the patients.”

Everyone who takes part will get a medal at the end, as well as a Glow Pack with an exclusive bespoke glow t-shirt and luminous UV face paint to wear on the night.

Entry is £15 for adults, £5 for children and £35 for a family (two adults and two children) until 5pm on Saturday, 30th April, when it will increase.
