Carole, aged 68, from Bishopton, was born and bred in Stratford, has been a trustee at Stratford Town Trust since its inception, and has worked at CA Rookes Wine Merchants for 45 years. She’s been a church warden at St Andrews Church in Shottery and still serves the church as treasurer on the Parochial Church Council.

Carole was nominated by Judith Fogg who said her friend was, “a true Stratfordian, a worthy winner who has the interests of the town as her first priority and who is unfailingly cheerful and optimistic.”

: “I’m very proud to have been nominated. The family will be playing Monopoly on Christmas Day and I will be trying to land on Anne Hathaway’s Cottage because I’ve spent so much time in Shottery. I’m very proud of where I live.”Carole told the
