Give it a go and let it glow for hospice
SET Stratford town centre alight with a neon shine for your loved one on Saturday 13th May.
At 8.30pm, hundreds of supporters will be leaving the Bandstand on the banks of the River Avon donning all things neon to remember their loved ones.
Participants can choose from a 5km or 10km route around the town centre, stopping briefly at The Shakespeare Hospice to grab some goodies including popcorn and candy floss.
To get the party started, Clubbercise legend Ross Jarvis and his team will be leading a warm up before walkers head off into the night.
“This year will be a little different,” said hospice fundraiser, Jo Reeves. “The adult walker who raises the most sponsorship will be awarded a three hour pamper session for two at Regal Hair and Beauty in Stratford. We’re not leaving children out either, the child who raises the most sponsorship will be awarded a family ticket to Stratford Butterfly Farm.”
The Shakespeare Hospice is asking all walkers to raise a minimum of just £30 each in sponsorship. That amount could fund bereavement workbooks for three children who have lost a family member, to help them share their experiences and remember their loved one, or could fund lunch for six hospice patients, cooked by the in-house chef.
Let It Glow is open to all ages and walking abilities, and dogs are welcome to join in.
