A SUCCESSFUL free family fishing event was held at the Recreation Ground, in Stratford-upon-Avon, on Sunday (21st August).

Organised by the Angling Trust, and supported by Stratford Fishing and Outdoors, the six-hour event attracted more than 60 people, who tried out pole fishing in the River Avon.

First ‘customer’ catch of the day was by four-year-old Jack Chandler, from Stratford, who caught a roach, with the assistance of a volunteer.
