Firm insures historic treble

AN Alcester insurance brokers has walked away with two top national awards.

Morrison Insurance Solutions, which employs 47 people, was shortlisted in four categories at the prestigious UK Broker Awards, winning the Chartered Broker of the Year award for a record third time.

The company also fought off stiff competition to be named Insurance Broker of the Year 2016, the most high profile award of the night.

The award ceremony took place on Friday, 16th September, at the Brewery in London with comedian Romesh Ranganathan acting as host for the evening.

Mark Horgan, director at Morrison Insurance Solutions, which is based at Springfield Business Park, said: “To win the Chartered Broker of the Year award was such a surprise, nobody has ever won it three times, so we just sort of thought that by default we thought it wasn’t going to happen.

“The Insurance Broker of the Year Award is the highest award in the industry so we’re absolutely over the moon to have won that. We’re so happy about both awards, it’s like winning the Premier League and the Champions League at the same time, it’s unbelievable.

“This recognition reconfirms to our clients that we are the number one broker in the country and it hopefully will help us attract new customers too.

"We are a much smaller company than some of the international businesses that enter these awards so it is a great achievement for us.”
