Fatal collision in Bascote

Police are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist died in a collision in Bascote yesterday afternoon (Sunday).

The collision occurred at around 1.10pm when a black Suzuki motorbike is understood to have left West Road West Hill Lane and collided with a road sign before coming to rest in a ditch.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 30s, suffered head injuries and was taken to University Hospital in Coventry where he later died.

Officers are keen to speak with anyone who saw the incident, who saw the vehicle and the manner in which it was being driven prior to the collision or who could help with the investigation.
